Valencia approves EUR 2.8B Albufera-Sur masterplan rezoning 450ha for mixed-use
Generalitat Valenciana's Conselleria de Política Territorial approved the Albufera-Sur Strategic Urban Development Area (AUDS) masterplan on July 15, 2026, rezoning 450 hectares south of Valencia city between El Saler and Pinedo for 12,000 residential units and 200,000 sqm commercial space. The plan integrates with Valencia's newly designated EU Mission City 2030 climate-neutral hub status and the planned extension of metro Line 10. Implementation begins Q1 2027 with infrastructure tenders managed by Infraestructuras de la Generalitat Valenciana.
